Well... the first Nippon Club meeting was pretty darned hyperactive, huh? It was a mess XD and we didn't get a lot done... but I was happy with it.
A whole lot of new faces and some loyal old ones! I'm so happy. I know I'm very bad about this, but I hope I get to know some of you more personally this year. I feel guilty when members say "hi" to me, and I don't know who you are. Maybe there should be something in particular you say so I know it's you, like with Lorraine. (But I don't remember what she told you all to say to her.)
SOOO... for any of you who are new to LJ (I got that impression... I really, really got that impression... one sign up
.) on the top of the screen you should see a bar. Up there are the options "join this community" and "post to this community". I have to approve you so that you can become a member and post, but after that, you're free to do so so long as it's Nippon related.
OH! We found out what the salamander is. It's really the Five-Lined Skink
. Isn't that funny that I discovered this today? Haha.
...That was out of nowhere. If you're looking for the first language lesson, scroll down on the left until you find "tags". Click on the tag "nihongopunch" to get the first language lesson.
Next week we'll be discussing the homecoming parade in full, including Lacey & I giving a full lesson on Japanese fashion & music. If you have any questions, please save them for the next meeting. We'll try and answer all of them.
We will also be working on cranking out the first of the ID cards. We'll see how that turns out.
Until then... I'll try and update the 4-panel sometime this week! Sorry that it's so LATE, but... you see, I have one of the most jammed schedules of all the officers... so please bear with me.
If you have any further questions that can't wait until the next meeting, go ahead and post them here or in the discussion thingy on the groupfusion page.
